Privacy

Short answer: the app has no server of ours, and this page has no trackers.

The app

• No tracking. Snatchr does not send your links, your files or your errors anywhere.
• No account. There is nothing to sign up for.
• Direct connection. Your computer talks to the site you took the link from.
• Files stay with you. Downloads, history and settings live on your disk, in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Snatchr.
• Updates. To check for a new version the app contacts GitHub. That is the only regular request it makes on its own.

Cookies from your browser

If you turn cookies on in Settings, Snatchr reads the ones it needs from the browser you picked and sends them only to the site you are downloading from. This way the site sees you as signed in.

• Cookies are used while the download runs and are not sent anywhere else.
• Nothing goes to the author of this project or to any third party.
• Treat cookies like a password: they let a site act as if it is you.

This website

• Simple static pages on GitHub Pages. No analytics, no trackers, no ads.
• The site sets no cookies and collects no personal data.
• Fonts load from Google Fonts, so that request reaches Google with your IP address, like on any site that uses a font service.
• GitHub hosts the pages and may keep normal server logs. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
